Since being elected in 2016, I have worked hard to advocate for our community.

My achievements include securing more than $500 million in funding to improve the lives of people living in Mayo:

  • $11.6 million to upgrade the Emergency Department at the Mount Barker District Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital
  • $13.5 million for upgrades to the South Coast District Hospital in Victor Harbor
  • $20 million for a Head to Health Centre in Mount Barker
  • $1.6 million for Headspace youth mental health
  • $1.2 million for the Kangaroo Island Nurse Practitioner Outreach Service
  • $120 million to upgrade Mount Barker and Verdun Interchanges on the South Eastern Freeway
  • $100 million for upgrades on the South Eastern Freeway
  • $73.6 million for the Victor Harbor Road duplication
  • $32 million for road upgrades on Kangaroo Island
  • $1.37 million for the Penneshaw Foreshore Upgrade Project
  • $15 million for the Mount Barker Aquatic & Leisure Centre
  • $2.6 million to complete stage 4 of the Amy Gillett Bikeway
  • $7.3 million for netting to protect our orchard industry
  • $1.5 million for the McLaren Vale Flat to Vale Trail
  • $5.4 million for the Southern Materials Recovery Facility
  • $8 million for the Coorong, Lower Lakes and Murray Mouth Research Centre
  • $822,764 for the Coromandel Valley Ramblers Cricket Club for the development of a multi-use facility
  • Funding for Study Hubs on Kangaroo Island and Victor Harbor
  • Funding for feral cat eradication on Kangaroo Island
  • Funding for a Bandicoot Highway across the Hills escarpment
  • Funding for projects to clean our waterways and build our environmental ecosystems (from Currency Creek to Hindmarsh Island)
  • Advocacy for greater investment in Aged Care and reduced waiting times for care at home
  • Private Members Bills to cap aged care administration and management fees
  • Positive Aging Forums throughout the region
  • Private Members Bills to ban online and telephone gambling
  • Addressing homelessness for older women
  • Private Members Bills to lower the threshold for political donations
